Overtime

What is the difference between the Overtime field and the Overtime Work field
- in the help it says to insert the overtime work field but there is an
overtime field already there.

Using 2003.

Where are you seeing these fields? I can see Overtime Cost and Overtime
Work together with their associated actuals fields. Can you tell us
what view you are using please?

Sorry, yes, task useage view, and I've set the table to show 'work' - this
view shows a field called overtime, but in the help screens I've been reading
about calculating overtime, they say to insert a field called overtime work
and I'm not sure what the difference is between the two. Hope that helps.

Hi Anita,

What you see is not always what you get; the title of a column isn't always
its name.
Double-Click on thye columpn header to see what it really shows (I think
that will be overtime work).

In the view you referenced its the same field. Look for the default h for
hours perhaps. There is also an Overtime Cost field for the Overtime Work
entry.

Anita,

I think you may be refering to a column heading entitled "Overtime"--which
is included in the Work table on the Resource Sheet. If you hover your
cursor over that column heading, you will see that the column actually is
reporting Overtime Work.
