I am looking for an answer for the same problem. What happens is, upon
repluying to a message, the message text block is locked (red 'x' in top left
corner of block).

I'm looking for a solution to the same problem. What happens is, upon
clicking on reply, the new message appears with the message area blocked (red
'x' in the top right corner...entire message area blocked).

I have been having this same problem. I fixed the unable to reply /forward by
adding the web address to the pop-up blocker. However, the actual 'close'
button still doesnt work and I have to use the red X in the top right corner.

I know for a fact that there was a javascript error on the close button for
Exchange v5.5 that removed its ability to work.
