Has anyone been successful in getting OWA from Exchange 2007 to add words or
permanently ignore words to check spelling?

OWA is actually not part of Outlook, but part of Exchange, so you may want
to post to microsoft.public.exchange.clients.

No, but there is at least one application the admin can install that can do
this (plus pack from messageware).
