There is no such thing as SP3 for Office 2003. SP2 is the newest
service pack available for Office 2003.

Your comment may be accurate, but not helpful. The problem still exists and
is manifest with the attempted download of sp3. Where else can I look?

I have the same exact problem and it does indeed occur when trying to install
SP3 for Office XP. WHen automatic updates tries to install Office XP Service
Pack 3 (SP3), it ends up looking for the file, owc10se.msi which it can't
find.

No, the problem did NOT "manifest with the attempted download of
sp3". You got the error message when you tried to play a
"tutorial" (euphemism for porno clip?) in Windows Media Player
(not part of Office XP). Then you posted a lame story here about
installing SP3 for Office 2003, and then changed your lame story
to say the problem was caused by SP3 for Office XP. What do you
know about "accurate"? But thank you for wasting everyone's time
here.

Seems to me you're the one not being helpful. I had the same exact problem
and searched through this board looking for how to solve it. I keep finding
your posts telling others they're lame or writing in UPPERCASE AND STOP
SHOUTING blah blah blah.

If you don't know the answer then please move on. What's the point it
replying to posts if you don't want to help anyone.

btw to jay, do a google search on owc10se.msi and you'll find a couple of
HELPFUL people who have the file. Download it and give it to the Office XP
SP3 updater when it asks and it will be happy. After a week I was finally
able to install the service pack.

Hi

My "Automatic Updates" have notified me that SP3 for Office XP is downloaded
and ready to install, but I get exactly the same issue saying that "The
feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable"
and it is asking for the location of 'owc10se.msi', but this file is neither
on my "My Computer" or the original CD. Can you please advise what I should
do to enable me to install the latest service pack?

Many Thanks

John Nollett
