Owner can't check in a project, says it's checked out by him

We have a project owner who is trying to check in a project. When he opens
the project, it opens in read only and he can't check it back in.

Suggestions?

If you're using PS2003. Use PWA to check it in. Have the PM select
Projects. On the left action panel, there's a 'Check in my proects' feature.
VOILA!

If you're using PS2007, not a clue.

you can force enterprice object to checkin..
server setting => DB Adminstration=> Force Check-in Enterprise Objects
