Owner questions

I have several files that, though time or something that I have done, have no owner. When a user tries to delete these files they are told they don't have permission to do so and to contact the Admin. Well this also happens to the Admin both the user and the Admin have "god" rights and can delete files with a listed owner.

1. Am I right to blame ownership of the file
2. how do I reset ownership of a file

You might try this, especially if you remember WinFile from the 3.1 and 9x
days.

Go here: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm
and scroll down to line 71 and download WinFile for 2K and XP.
iirc You can change file ownership with it, and a whole bunch more.
