Ownership of Tasks

If I am the owner of a task and I share it to my team members, is it possible
for my team members to change the ownership of that task to themselves (what
permission level do I have to use)?

A task always has an owner and only that owner can assign the task to
someone else. If that person accepts the task they become the new owner. I
don't know of any other way to transfer ownership of a task.
