P11 Limitation on Admin Projects???

Hello Project World

I heard from MS that it is not possible to assign more than 100 resources on an admin project at a time. This is a real limitation for us since we need to assign 800 people on one vacation/admin project to track remaining availability.

Do you know of that limitation for admin projects and possible way around ? (I'll take any other info on admin projects since it is not well documented

Environment client XP : P2003 PRO and PWA
Environment server : Project Server 2003 on three servers running Windows server 2003, SQL 2000 (1 viewdrop server)
Bandwidth: 100M

As always thanks for your time

I'm biased toward using resource calendars to schedule regular vacations. I
think that administrative projects are best used to capture working-time
events that can't be planned or generally isn't planned for, such as sick
days, personal days, and overhead tasks that you want to capture. Keep in
mind that you can have multiple admin plans to capture vacation or other
reporting. Natural ways to break these up is by resource manager, practice
group, business unit, etc.
