[P2007] Baseline work not matched in OLAP

Hi,

I found out that the baseline work value in the OLAP data analysis does not
match with that from Project Professional or PWA. I have published the
project again just to make sure but the value still does not match up.

After some investigations, I found out that because the project I am dealing
with has been closed with resource removed from those tasks not started,
somehow the OLAP baseline work data for those tasks without resource shows
0hr. The baseline work from PWA or project professional still shows the
baseline work as it is before the removal of resource. Is this a bug?

Hi godrid,

I do have the same issue and so far have not found any workaround. It is
extreemly frustrating, but appearantly the OLAP cube rebuilds the Baseline
each time it is rebuild. Once you have replaced the "baselined" resource with
an new resource and have not rebaselined, the project center shows a
different value then the OLAP cube, given that the second resource has a
different rate.

I even had this problem in PS2003 and truly hope that this will be fixed in
SP1 of 2007.

Sorry that I have no good news or at least a workaround at this stage.

I had the same issue. For me, the problem was that the Reporting database
was not updated after a publish. Check your que for any Reporting database
update issues.

The Cube baseline data is built from the Reporting Database View called
AssignmentBaselinebyDay_OlapView, and this is supposed to be updated from the
Published Database upon a Publish event. If this view doesn't get updated,
then you cube will be wrong. This happens alot on single machine installs
where SQL and project server are on the same box.
