Package without run-time

Hi,

I posted this on two other newsgroup and didn't get a response so I thought I
would try here.....

I'm using Access 2000 and Office Developer 2000. When I try to package
without Runtime, I uncheck the "Include Access Runtime" and "V86 RunTime and
OLE Automation", but when it packages the Runtime is included.

I noticed that if I go to the "next" wizard window after I unchecked the two
above items and then do "Back" to return to that window, the "Include Access
Runtime" is again checked.

What am I missing?

How do I package without Run-time? I really want to be able to package with
and without runtime.

Thanks for your help,

I would try creating a new entry in the wizard. It sounds like the file is
behaving as if it is read only...

Thanks Albert,

I open my DB, do atl-f11/package and enter everything as if it was for the
first time and it still dose not work. What and where would the file be that
might be read only? I just got my Office 2000 Developer and I'm quite sure
that at one time in my testing that I did package without runtime, but can't
make it work now.

Thanks again

Darn, I was only making a guess here.

My suggestion was a bit of a long shot.....

I only used the a97, and a2003 package wizard ( I used a2003 quite a bit in
fact).

I often actually make a runtime only install, and then the rest of my
installs I do NOT include the runtime (just like you are trying here).

However, some googling did come up with the following suggestion:

* Delete previously existing CAB files before creating a
new deployment configuration in the default package
directory.

Hi again Albert,

I've done everything I can think of doing. I deleted the CAB file, deleted
the whole directory, created new directories, moved my source db........
No matter what I do it always packages with runtime.

Do you or anyone else have any ideas as to what to do????????? I know this
should work.

Thanks for your help.
