You can't view it if you only have one page and if the setting is for
"different first page." It is stored as the section's "header." What I do,
when in the h/f view is click on the button for page layout and uncheck
"different first page." I close that dialog and the "header" is available
for editing. When done, I return to the layout dialog and recheck "different
first page." The "header" disappears and the "first page header" is back.
Alternative: in the body of your document you can (temporarily) insert a
manual page break (Ctrl-Enter).
Final note, you should save your "document" as a template -- and then delete
the original document.
