Page Break in Table

Is there a way to insert a page break in a table without breaking the table
into 2 parts. That is what normally happens, and the second table loses all
formatting, header rows, etc. I would like to retain these, but force a new
page. Thanks.

Use "Page break before" formatting on the row that should start a new page.
You'll find the option on the Line and Page Breaks of the Paragraph dialog
box.

To display the dialog box:

- Click Format | Paragraph (Word 97-2003).

- Click the Home tab of the ribbon. In the Paragraph group, click the dialog
launcher button (the one on the bottom right, with the arrow) (Word 2007).

Place the cursor in the first paragraph of the first cell of the row you
would like to see at the top of the next page. Then:
Format > Paragraph... > "Line and Page Breaks" tab > check "Page break
before"

By the way, I always use that instead of "CTRL-Enter" (Manual page breaks).
I find that it is easier to handle, especially for formatting purposes. I add
it to my toolbar "Tools > Customize... > "Commands" tab > "Format" in the
"Categories:" list > Drag and drop on a toolbar the "Para Page Break Before"
command from the "Commands:" list on the right.
