Page breaks not working

I can't get Excel 2003 to insert a page break that I can
see. I just have one simple spreadsheet that I want to
cut in half and print on two separate pages...isn't this
the way to do it? When I insert a page break, I don't
see anything. If I click insert again in the same row, I
see "remove page break" as if it had inserted one, but I
don't see the dotted line that it says is supposed to be
there, and it's not printing two pages.

I can't find anything in Help about this. I admit to
being an Excel novice.

Tools=>Options=>view, make sure pagebreaks is checked or go into the View
Menu and select Pagebreak view (which is different altogether).

In the menu "File ==> Page Setup ==> Page" verify that the scaling option is set t

Adjust to ... % Normal siz

rather tha

Fit to ... page(s) wide by .... tal

with the "Fit to Option" selected page breaks are ignored and not displayed on the screen

It will still work when you use the "Fit to" option as long as you leave the
..... tall field blank

Thanks Tom, but I had already checked that. I've tried
Pagebreak view, still can't see the pagebreak. And in
Tools=>Options=>view, pagesbreaks was already checked.
Still can't see the pagebreaks in either normal or
pagebreak view.

Any other ideas?

What Jacques suggested, that you have Fit to pages tall pages wide selected
in page setup.
