page format differences in Word using Windows 98 and XP

I work with networked computers running Word. Some are using Windows 98 and some Windows XP. When documents created in 98 are pulled up in XP (and vise versa) the pages need to be corrected for margins and page breaks. Is there a way to correct for this?

This will almost certainly be because of different printers and printer
drivers. If you can standardise on them (which may not be possible with the
two different versionsof Windows) the problem should go away.

I am sorry I did not include this in the original question. We all use the same printer. Four of us use the Windows XP and three use the Windows 98. Three of the XP uses type remotely and one types on-site. Thanks for your help.

With the different versions of Windows, you are probably using different
printer drivers.
