Hi all,

I'm trying to page format a mulitple page document. I'm having troubles
because the document has different page margins on alternating pages. I'm
trying to create a template that's has these margins locked. But I can't seem
to do such thing... can anyone help me out? Thanks.

In Word 2007, Page Layout, Mirror Margins may be of use. The usual use is
to provide a wider inside margin than outside margin for binding of the
document. In Word 2007, the default is 1.25 inch inside and 1 inch outside.
In the Custom section you can set the inside and outside margins to your
choice and then under pages choose to mirror for multiple pages.

Also, I recall {somewhat} that in a prior version of Word using a prior
printer, I could select two sided printing for a booklet in the printer
setup which accomplish the same.

Anyway, you may want to check your version of Word and your printer options.

I'm not sure if you are asking how to create different margins in an
existing document or how to set up a template that has margins preset.

If the former, you need to create additional sections for those areas in
which the margins are different. This is done by inserting Section Breaks

If the latter, that could be difficult to do if there isn't any content in
the template. Perhaps if you can expand on what you are trying to do exactly
we may be able to provide some suggestions.

Please post all follow-up questions to the newsgroup. Requests for
assistance by email cannot be acknowledged.
