I've produced a database for staff in our school to write pupil reports.
The report to go home consists of
1) front cover with pupil name etc. ... this being a group Header
2) reports from various teachers ..... these consisting of subreports ...
between 2 to 4 can pring on a page. (I've used sub reports as each ahs a
number of fileds and I was getting in a mess ove page breaks.)
3) Tutor's report which appears in the group footer.
I would like every page to have a logo on it and have the pupil name tucked
away in the bottom corner so that printed pages don't ever get muddled.
So I use the page header/footer to set this all up then select the Not with
Rpt Hdr/Ftr option. All is fine for the first report, then for the rest,
the log and the footer appear on the fron cover. (As it is not a report
header.)
