Page Layout Header and Footer Markerds

As of today I'm suddenly seeing 4 grey right angled
Header and Footer markers at the top and bottom of each
page. I can't see how to turn these off and they're
driving me mad. I'm sure I've never seen these before
today.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

I know this doesn't make sense, but I believe I read that these marks as you describe them are a result of having Asian Font Support installed. I am unaware of exactly what to do to remove them, but that should at least point in a direction to search. I actually kind of like the marks because they are on here at work (where we have Asian Font Support installed) and I would like to turn them on at home just so I can see where margins are without the giant dashed line going around the whole document.

Anyway, good luck. If I remember right, the way to turn it off is in some external tool for Asian Fonts, not directly inside of Word.
