Page layout screwed up

I am using OFFICE XP with WINDOWS XP (SP2). All of a sudden, when I
try to print a page, I get an error message that (some of) the
requested page is outside the printable area. Looking at the page
layout I see that the bottom margin somehow became 2.67" rather than
the usual 1". Changing it to 1" causes an error.
I have re-installed the program, but the error persists.
How do I fix that? Trying to set the bottom margin to 1" and clicking
DEFAULT fixes it only until the next time I open a WORD document.

You have a problem with your printer driver. Word sets the margins according
to its understanding of what the printer can actually handle, which it reads
from the printer driver settings. Go to Start > Settings > Printers.
Right-click, select properties, and work your way through all thr screens.
Or delete and reinstall the printer.
