Page links don't publish correctly

G

George Gorecki

Hi,

I hope someone can steer me in the right direction on this problem.

On my website (www.nslchicago.org), I have a set of links on the
left-hand side of the page to navigate the site. In the theme that I
used to create the site, the default alignment for the links was to
have them centered. I modified the theme to make the links
left-justified.

Here's the problem. On my screen, the links come up left-justified.
When I publish the site, the links are still centered. From the
information I have given, is there any way to tell what I have done
wrong?

Thanks

Clear your browser cache and history files and then try.

After you modified the theme, did you save it under a new name, remove the current theme and then
apply your new modified theme?

Thanks Steve,

I will try this. Just curious, however. How will clearing the browser
cache and history files have an effect on how the page publishes?

Thanks

Hi Thomas,

I think I performed this procedure as you have written it, but I don't
know whether there was a step where I explicitly removed the current
theme. What I did originally was apply a FP-supplied theme to my
website. I then modified certain elements of the theme, saved it under
a new name and then applied it. All of the modifications appear
correctly on my screen, as well as on the published site EXCEPT for
the navigation links. Those links appear correctly on my screen, but
are different when I publish them.

Thanks

When you published, did you do a full/complete publish of the site and not just changed pages?

I'm not sure if I know the difference. I usually hit the "Publish
Site" button and FP does the rest. What do I need to do to accomplish
a full publish?

Thanks
