Okay, further complicating the matter is that I'm trying to use this in a
briefcase on the notebook and then sync up to the desktop and use it there as
well. Now, on the desktop, it's saying all my section are password
protected, so it's not finding anything again. By the setup, I meant that I
have my desktop computer, which holds the master copy of the notebook
structure. Then I've put a synch copy of that into a briefcase on the
laptop. And the laptop ON is set to point to the briefcase, as opposed to
the original path.

So now I have the laptop seeming to find the section, but my not being able
to view them, and the desktop not showing me the sections because they're
password protected (so it says, though it's not true). Additionally, the
desktop seems to be finding 17 million sections (yes, that's the number shown
for skipped sections and folders due to password protection).

I think that is further complicating the matter. Why don't we try just
moving the notebook to a regular folder on the desktop, give up on the
syncing just for the moment, and see if we can get everything to work
properly with a regular notebook file on the desktop. Once we can get
that working we can see what we can do about getting the syncing to work
properly again.
