Page numbering in a multi document document

Tanya

Hi,
I have created a large document which is split into three sub documents and
am having trouble getting the page numbering right, I am using:
{page} of {sectionpages} in the footer of each sub document which is
working great however one of the sub documents I have had to put in a section
break due to the page orientation changing from portrait to landscape, when i
do this the {sectionpages} field resets to the new section. Is there anyway
where i can set it to carry on instead of reseting?

hope this makes sense
Thanks in advance
Tanya

Are you using the Master Document / Sub Document structure? (You do not want
to be using this.)

If there are no other section breaks in the subdocument where you
changed page orientation, then you can use a NUMPAGES field
instead of SECTIONPAGES.

Probably not, but you could create a workaround. Remove the landscape page
and make it a separate document; manually insert the proper page number and
other header/footer information. Then create a blank, portrait page in the
main document with one space followed by a page break. When you print, throw
away the blank page and substitute the landscape page.
