page numbering

I am using ppt2000 in win NT. I have 3 ppt presentations
and want the slides numbered consecutively between them.
According to ppt Help, you go to Page Setup and fill in
the "Number slides from" with the number you want the
slides to start at. On screen in the slide sorter view I
see the numbers change so that my second presenation in
the series begins with slide 50. However, when I go to
print, the numbering on the handouts still starts with
page 1. So I see how to change the slide numbers but how
the heck do you change the page numbers?

And what do slide numbers matter since no one sees them
anyway?

Thanx.

This is a limit on how PPT numbers things. The best way around it is to use
either File--> Send to Word or Shyam's Handout Wizard (URL:
