Page Numbering

Is there a way to page number 1.1, 1.2, etc. in one
document and start with 2.1, 2.1..... in a second document?

Do not use Insert > Page Number.

View the headers and footers and choose where you want your page number
displayed. Type the following:
1.page (or 2.page)

Select "page" and press Ctrl-F9 and then F9.

Close the header/footer view.
