Page Numbering

J

James Lee

I would like to enter Page 1 on the 3rd page of my
document. I have tried to do so by using the "Header and
Footer" tool and using the regular 'insert page number'
assistance, but this shows the same page number on every
page of the document or begins the numbering of page 1 on
a page that I do not desire it to be seen.
It is my desire that after sucessfully enter page #1 on
the 3rd page of the document, that then thereafter the
pages will be automatically entered in ascending order
until the document has reach its conclusion.
Is it possible for me to do this process? I operate on
Windows 98 system that has been upgraded to 2002.
I will be happy to provide you with any other information
that you may need to solve my problem.
Thank-you!
