Page numbers disappear when creating a pdf out of Word document

Could somebody advise how I can keep page numbers in my document when I'm
creating a PDF from Word document? They just disappear and I can't find a
setting where to change it. Thanks!

Ennu:
It is difficult to reproduce the problem. What pdf converter do you
use? Do they print correctly on a normal printer?
