Page numbers don't match on the scroll bar and the window?

Hello: I don't know if you are the best group to talk to but if not, please
tell me who would be appropriate.

My problem is that I am creating an Index and the page numbers on the scroll
bar of the Word window do not match the page numbers that are displayed at
the bottom of the Word window. When I create the Index the page numbers are
wrong on about 2/3 of it. It program uses the scroll bar page numbers and
not the page numbers that are displayed at the bottom of the window.

The index will use the number that would be printed if a page number were
printed on the page (that is, the result of the PAGE field). This is not
always the same as the "whole number" on the status bar but should be the
same as the one shown after "Page." For page numbers in the index to be
correct, however, you must be sure to hide Hidden text (XE fields are
formatted as Hidden) before generating the index.
