page set-up

When I open a new document it is always set-up as US letter size. How
do I change this so that all new documents are A4 size?

Hi,
open the normal.dot or other template you use file>open>normal.
The normal.dot is located in home„documents„MS user data.
Then change the page setup to A4 and re-saved it. I would recommended you to
backup the normal.dot before you do any changes as much information are
stored there. It's also a good idea to make a copy even you do not any
changes. Then all document created on basics on normal.dot should have set
the page to A4.

May I suggest a slight correction? Mac Word's normal does not have a
..dot extension. It is just "normal"
