Page x of y over multiple documents

One of the formats of page numbering offered is exactly
that. Page # of #. Just choose that style when you are
in page numbering formatting.

total number of pages for all the documents. I have just
restarted x on each file to the correct number. Is there a
way to have Word calculate the total number of pages for
all documents and put it in the footer?
