Hi - am wondering if there is a relatively easy way to
convert a file created in pagemaker to MS publisher?

Mr. C,

No, there is not. Your best option would be to copy/paste or drag/drop from
your PageMaker publication to your Publisher publication having them split
vertically on the screen.
