Paint Bucket Does Not Fill

I have an empty paint bucket; no colors when I try to fill in a cell in Word
Doc's.

Are you using the paint bucket button on the Drawing toolbar (Fill Color) or
the Tables and Borders toolbar (Shading Color)? Only the latter works for
tables; the former is for drawing objects (including text boxes).
