Palm Integration

I have a rich mdb database on our server which i want to make mobile. I was
wondering if anyone can tell me what needs to be done to put this database on
my paly, with the tables, queries and forms remaining functionable, and
useable on the palm. My best guess is this cant be done without some form of
coding, or third party software that requires codeing. If thats the case, and
c++ coding or coding of any kind actually, dont waste your time telling me, i
cant do those kind of advanced functions. I like wizards, or atleast
something with a good GUI.

I guess I'm wasting your time, then, as an Access database can't be used on
a Palm (nor Pocket PC, for that matter).

There are 3rd party products available that could help, but you've already
indicated that you're not interested in them.

Sorry, you miss understood. I said dont waste 'your' time, i simply said
that, because people may write all these series of instructions for coding
etc, and i have no experience in coding. Also, i am interested in third party
software, and i have tried many apps, but havnt been able to find one that
supports conversion of mdb to pdb, for forms, queries and tables. I have
tried literally 10 or 15, including Mobile access. I just now found Smart
list to go, and will give that a try also.

Hi,
I recently purchased HandDbase for my pcoket PC. That converts Access (with
the appropriate add ons from Handdbase). It is a little cumbersome when
compared to Access, but remember that the Palm/Pocket PC's don't necessarily
have the same power and features of a full system. The programme also has a
forms module which allows you to design your own forms to allow viewing and
inputting/editing records. I have found it quite good and reasonably priced.

Hope this helps you.

I read your suggestion in another topic, so i went and downloaded it and i
agree. Its not bad compared to some of the other apps i have tried. I was
kind of hoping i would just be able to import forms, because the ones in my
mdb are quite complex, but, the form building feature in smartlist just about
covers what i will actually be using portably. Thanks mate - Mike
