paragraph breaks in middle of page

Linda

A user in my office is having a problem wherein a
paragraph in her document abruptly drops the remainder of
the paragraph to the next page, even though there is room
for a good ten lines of text. I have checked her page
setup, styles, options, margins, and everything I can
think of to reset the paragraph but it will not
repaginate. There are no page breaks or hard carriage
returns inserted. All other pages of the document are
formatted correctly. If anyone has experienced this
problem and has a solution, I would appreciate the help.

Have you checked the jumping paragraph (and following ones) for "Keep with
next" and/or "Keep lines together" formatting (Format | Paragraph | Line and
Page Breaks)?

Yes I did- those options were not checked or turned on
anywhere in the document.

Is the space at the bottom of that page being obstructed by a text box
or other floating object?

No, there are no text boxes or embedded objects, the
paragraph just arbitrarily breaks.

If you'd like to send me the problem document (or a small sample that
exhibits the problem), I'd be glad to take a look at it. If you can zip it
up, that's helpful, as I'm on dial-up.
