Parallel Columns

P

Paula Schilke

I am under a very tight time crunch. I do not want
newspaper columns. I want parallel columns with the block
protect feature. Please respond immediately.

You do realise that you're talking to unpaid volunteers? A little courtesy
wouldn't go astray.

There is no such thing as "parallel columns" in Word; you'll have to use a
table. And there is also no such thing as "block protect" (both of these are
WordPerfect features). Although "Keep with next" and "Keep lines together"
can be used to emulate "block protect," these do not operate within table
cells; "Keep with next" can be used between table rows, and you can keep a
row from breaking by disabling "Allow row to break across pages."
