Parameter query problem

Hi,

I imported tables from Excel, analysed them and created lookup fields,
pulled a query and want to run a parameter query on it. Access gives an error
message "Datatype mismatch in criteria expression" I do not understand this
as the datatype set is the same as the criteria that i enter.

Please help

What is the field you are using the parameter on? How is that field defined
in your table? What are you entering in your parameter?

You say they are the same, but you don't tell us what they are or what
operator you are using to compare them.
