parent/child form problem

I am newbie to Access

Access 2000; win98se

I have a parent/child form. This worked OK until I added a check box. Now, whenever the check box is ticked and I try to
move to the next record, the parent form seems to jump up the window and disappears.

I hope that's a clear enough explanation.
