A parked domain, is a domain name that is registered, but not being used.

As Thomas as said it is a temporary thing. Like parking your car at
wal-mart. You don't leave it there forever.

In most cases it also means that the DNS settings have not been applied or
set yet and/or the dns settings are parked on the domain name companies
server.

So you really will not be using a parked domain to actually have a site for
your daughter.

If your daughters site is going to be hosted you will need to get the DNS
settings for your host company. They will be able to help you get that
information. You will need it when you get your domain name.

If your daughters site is going to be on free space or a subweb off of
someone else's site you will be better off simply buying the domain name and
having it forwarded to the actual site. You can also have the domain masked
so others will not see where it is actually going. Thus giving it a "real'
look!

If you want, check out the web store link at: www.wcgawebs.com we have great
prices on domain names and 24/7 live tech support if you have any problems.

Best to you.......
