"part of file missing" error mesasge

Lee-Anne

Hi,
When trying to open a PPT file, created by another person
using Windows 2000 and the Office 2000 version of PPT, I
receive an error message stating that it cannot be opened
because part of the file is missing. I'm using Office
2003 on XP. We have tried different methods of
transferring and he has no problems opening the file.

I also tried opening it on a different PC (also XP) and
still receive the same message.

Any suggestions? Many thanks.

There is an available fix that you haven't installed. It will correct the
problem. Open PowerPoint, click on Help and then on "Check for Updates".
Follow the screens for "Check for Updates".
