Pass variable to external site

I need to pass a hyperlinked variable from an intranet page to an external
Web site. Right now, the hyperlink goes to the external site just fine. What
I need help with is passing the variable to the correct place on the form at
the external page.

You want to put a value into a form on an external web site? What exactly is
the requirement? This is not strictly possible. It is possible to post (via
HTTP and a client application) to a form handler for a remote web site, but
not possible to simply put a value into a form field on an external web
site.
