Granted, I've got OfficeXP, so the exact position may be a little different,
but this is how I set it up on my personal Outlook.
Under Tools, select E-mail accounts.
Say that you want to View or Change an existing account.
Select the account that you use (if you use multiple accounts), and hit
"Change"
On the next tab, you may see a place to put a userid and password (if you're
using an HTTP server)
If you're using an Exchange Server, there is a button for "More Settings"
On the dialog that comes up, under Security, there is a checkbox for "Always
prompt for user name and password". Uncheck it.
Obviously, you should be careful doing this, because once you disable that
feature, anyone who gets their hands on your copy of Outlook will be able to
view/modify/send e-mail from your account without needing your password.
Make sure you take any security policies into account.
