Password Help

I put a database on our share drive. It works great. Now one person keeps
getting the message asking for ID and Password. It just happened in the past
few days. Before that she does not need any id and password to open the
database. She gets the ID and Password messgae for all Access file. I didn't
set up user id and password for our group. I don't know why this happened and
how to help her fix this problem. Any Help will be great appreciated. Will
the reinstallation Access work?

Someone (perhaps the user) maybe ran the Security Wizard in Access on her
machine. They may even have cancelled part way through, or have been
playing with this feature on another database.

Nonetheless, search that computer for all *.mdw files. Use the workgroup
administrator (Start, Run, wrkgadm.exe in version 97/2000; Tools, Security,
Workgroup Administrator in 2002/2003) to see which workgroup she is joined
to by default. You want to join the system.mdw workgroup file. This is the
workgroup that ships with Access. If your initial search found only one mdw
file, then it has been modified. You could copy system.mdw from another
computer to replace her's.

I have copied my .mdw to her computer. Still Not working. She has three
..mdw files which are the ones I have tried to open. What can I do next?

When you run the workgroup administrator, which of the three mdw files is
she joined to by default? You need to click on Join and then join the
system.mdw workgroup.

I just checked her computer and couldn't run wrkgadm.exe. It said that
something is missing. Should I reinstall access?

No. How are you running wrkgadm.exe? What version of Access are you using?

Start, Run, wrkgadm.exe and the message I got is "Cannot find the file
'wrkgadm.exe'(or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are
correct and that all required libraries are available. I tried to Find the
files and did locate it under\MicrosoftOffice\Office\1033. She is using
Window 98 and Access 2000. I really don't understand it.

Try double-clicking the file when you find it.
