Password issue

Newsie

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this issue.

I have 6 sites all on the same host. I'm using FP2002, windows XP SP2.

What I normally do is open FP and then open web, the log on password screen
opens and I've always had "save password" checked. One of the sites I tried
to open and the password was not there, so I typed it in, and it wouldn't
take it. Several times. So I called the hosting company to have the password
reset, we did that and they said it would take up to 30 minutes, call back
if I have any problems. So I waited the 30 minutes, FP still would not
accept the password.

I phoned the host again and they said they can 'see' the password change,
and asked me to test it going to the ftp://blahblah.com using the log on and
password. It worked, I could see all the files, etc. I didn't make any
changes because I know I can corrupt the extensions doing that. So the host
tech said they couldn't help me any because it was a microsoft product and
they can't support that.

Could this be possible, is it something in FP. If so what can I do to fix
this?

sorry for the detailed post, not sure its allowed. But thanks if you can
help.

Have your host reset / repair the FrontPage extensions.
