Password Manager selection

Passwords stored in Excel or my computer can be hacked.
1. Appreciate assistance in selecting free Password Manager (PM)
2. Does Office Enterprise 2007 or Vista SP1 have encripted PM storage?
3. Please suggest top rated PM that is compliant with Vista.

I don't understand why you think that a Password "manager" is going to
prevent hacking.....
All a password "manager" does is to keep track of what passwords you use
with what application/site/forum etc etc.

A Password Manager is a safer way to store and encrypt passwords. Can you
suggest any top rated free programs?

You are under a misapprehension. Yes a password manager stores passwords -
OUTSIDE of the application to which they belong. That does NOT prevent you
being hacked....

The original request is based on confuse the use of a Password Manager
and the cracking of passwords in Office. It will be useless for
preventing the cracking the protection. In that light, IF you still want
the manager, I suggest you pop over to www.google.com and look.

Perhaps the OP has confused Password manager with a Password GENERATOR?

Perhaps, but it still wouldn't help with preventing the "bypassing" of
the Office passwords.
