password not remembered

The password for access to the pop3 email server is not
remembered and must be accepted numerous times.
Already gone through deletion of the
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Protected Storage System
Provider entries.
This didn't help.
Any other suggestions?
