Password Problem

Karen

I made a dumb mistake - I password protected a few
worksheets in a workbook so other people could not make
changes and I forgot the password - Now I cannot make
changes. Is there any way of copying these sheets into
another workbook and start from scratch? I attempted to
copy one through Edit > Move or Copy Sheet and the Move
or Copy Sheet is grayed out. PLEASE HELP - My boss is
going to stangle me.

Thank you

If "move or copy" is grayed out, sounds to me like you also have the workbook
protected under Tools>Protection>Protect Workbook.

If just the sheet was protected, you could still "move or copy" it.

Perhaps two passwords required in this case?

Either way, see RD's post for a link.

Well ... I guess that you *CAN* make that same mistake again ... Since you
now know how to overcome it!<g>

Thanks for the feed-back.
