password problems

I am having problems in my set up.(Office 2000, small
business, w Win2000) the account info will not store my
passwords, even when i click the "remember password"
button.
i have deleted the office program, downloaded ALL the
updated, and pulled out almost all of whats left of my
hair.
Other then Rogain, ay help WOULD be greatly appriciated.
