Password Prompt when trying to save "Issues"

Has anyone seen this

A user belongs to the "Project Manger" group
They can publish their project plans and the subweb is created. ( Of coarse I am pre-provisioning the subwebs ahead of time because they are not automatically being created.

Now...the user can log in through PWS and navigate through the site

However, when the user tries to post issues they can enter the data...ONCE a SAVE is attempted...they get a windows LOGON to complete the save

I s there any particular directory in IIS that they need access to
Where should I look to see if they have the correct permissions

Tip***Local Administrators on the server are not having any problems

AM I looking at a vanilla IIS permissions issue

TS:

Because you've set the site to manually create the subwebs, you'll also need
to manually synchronize the users from time to time. Go to Admin > Manage
SharePoint Team Services > Manage subwebs and select the subweb in the grid
and click Synchronize users from the toolbar above the data grid. This
should solve the problem. Turn on automatic site creation if you can.

Hi Gary

I know.
The only catch is. After the sync runs, it concludes with the following VBSmessage, "Failed in synchronizing users between Microsoft Project Server and the selected SharePoint Team Services subweb. XML document must have a top level element

I only did this to keep te users working.SharePoint is best left to itself

Thx

You're really not offering enough information to make a diagnosis easy or
possible, but I'll take wild guess: You're not running in a domain and
attempting this with local machine accounts.
