You will have to create a security file to accomplish that, the topic is
somewhat extensive, I recommend you read about "security using workgroup
files" in the access help.

Actually, good as the Access 97 help file is, I'm not sure just reading that
entry is enough to get you going with security.
Better is to get the Security FAQ at
http://support.microsoft.com/support/access/content/secfaq.asp, read it
thoroughly several times, and work on a copy of the database. Make sure you
don't leave out any of the steps!
