Password Protected pages

Hello,
I am running IIS 6.0 W2k3 and using FP 2002 an created a
logon web with password database from the article below.
When I go to test the web all I see is code. Why?
ASP is enabled on the server but the original web was
created on a disc and then published to the server. Anyhow
why the code and not the test?
Thanks
Joe

.
You need to edit the database connection live on the
server. You also need to have frontpage extensions
installed on the server to connect to it through frontpage.

Go File > Open Web > type in http://yoursite.com , The
site will open in FrontPage for you to edit the
connections.

I do have the extensions installed and there is no
connector because the article said not to create one.
I am familiar with openning the web live (editing on the
server)I have never done this with a logon page and db.
Thanks
Joe
