Password Request after upgrade to 2002

I've just upgraded Outlook 2000 to 2002. I don't use an exchange server, and
mail is checked every minute. I use Outlook as the client for several email
accounts with different mail servers. This all worked perfectly until the
upgrade. Now, every half hour or so I get an 'Enter Network Password' dialog
box. This has fields for the server, user name, and password, and a checkbox
for saving the password. The fields are all filled in: I just hit the OK
button, the dialog box goes away and mail is sent and received fine. But the
continual popping up of the dialog box is driving me mad. All suggestions
very welcome. Thanks in advance. Clive

Here are some possible solutions:

For Outlook 2000 or 2002 on Win 98, NT, or 2000:

For Outlook 2000 on Windows 2000:

(IMO) http://support.microsoft.com/kb/259416

For all Outlook versions on Windows XP (note, this article is written for OE
but the solution applies to Outlook as well. Just ignore the parts that
refer to OE):

Many thanks for the prompt reply: I deleted the subkey, but the problem
persists. Although I deleted the top subkey as instructed, there were other
subkeys which I left: don't know if this would be a problem. Interestingly,
the passwords for all accounts were still present when I restarted Outlook.
And when I get the password dialog box, the password field is already filled
in. Outlook doesn't seem to have lost the password, it just seems to want to
check periodically.
