Version: 2004 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Email Client: pop Entourage 2004 keeps asking me for my password on a secondary email. I have gone into the keychain and confirmed what it states for the password. However, it will not accept it and still ask. Any ideas? Thanks.

Run Keychain FirstAid.
In Entourage delete the account (not delete the data but the entire account) and create a new one.
Create new account and see if it saves now.

If it still fails, do this test...

Under Entourage in the Menu bar select "Switch Identity".
Create a new account. Cancel out setup, and just enter the account.
Select under the Option tab to "leave on server"
Test in the new user.

If this works, it’s a problem with your database. You can try rebuilding but you might need to export all data from the old Identity and import into the new one.

How to manually move your data. (when import fails and/or you need to move to a new Identity same version or revert to an older version)

Open the Keychain Access utility and search for all passwords relating
to Entourage by typing 'Entourage' into the search box. Find the
entry/entries relating to that account and delete them.

next time entourage asks for the password, the entry will be recreated
(assuming you check the 'save my password' box) and should stick.

This is generally much more reliable than using keychain First Aid to
try and repair any corruption in the system keychain.
